Too much....

so I have too much for one post of what I want to share with ya'll today so I am going to have to organize(you know how I love to organize) it all somehow to last throughout the week so you have to keep coming back for more...no pressure for me to make this so fantastic that you won't be disappointed huh?
So...first things first...I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter...
We were in Texas for our 2nd of a 3 week in a row stint of Texas weekends!!
Now all 4 of us are back in MS, and getting back on schedule.

I have been reading all of ya'lls posts about how wonderful your husbands are...this is not that kind of post...don't get me wrong my honey has come along way in 15 years, and is a wonderful man, husband, and father but again not that kind of post....
I thought I would share a little of his insight into what is really wrong with me....
He says to me on the way to Texas Friday night, and I quote " I know why you are in such a bad mood all the time...crazy must hurt" my response.... "I love you"
I have learned when I can't think of anything nice (or witty) to say in return I just say " I love you" and smile very sweetly!

So the other thing I want to tell you for today was something KT (13yr. old) said yesterday on the way home...she asks "do humanitarians eat humans? you know like vegetarians eat veggies?" LOL then she says "I guess they would go to eat kids free night instead of kids eat free night"...LOL I thought I would cry I laughed so hard...
Of course no offense to any vegetarians, humanitarians, or cannibals!!!!

1 more thing... HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAIL!

I can't wait for tomorrow...see ya'll then!

Over 160mph....

WOW! What a way to end Spring Break!

Hans, the girls & I went to Dallas this weekend. We met up with some friens on Saturday at the hotel, and went to Dave & Busters for dinner. Our girls and the Holmes' boys were the only kids. Kt my 13 yr. old hung out with Drew the Holmes' 13 yr. old....totally weird for me!

Anyway, moving on...There were about 25 of us total.

Lots of fun was had by all!

Sunday afternoon was when the guys were scheduled to participate in the Richard Petty Driving School Rookie Experience. This was Hans 5th time, and Jared's 2nd, and nobody else had done anything like this before. Then I was told I could ride along in a race car with a professional, and go faster than Hans could drive....um let me think about this...YES! I'm TOTALLY in!

SO much fun! Can't put into words.

When Ed (my driver) asked me what the best part was I said that I got to go faster than my husband! (The one who flies over Louisiana!)

I have a slide show posted below (well it's actually the next post...up there^)but warning it is quite long....but very entertaining....atleast for me, you may not think so & I'm ok with that!

Hans & I drove home last night and got in about 1AM, and I had a Micro test at 8 this morning...I know I missed 2 we'll see how bad I really did on Wednesday!

The girls rode home with Jared and are spending Mon-Wed with MIL in San Antonio, and then will be with my dad until we go back to TX and get them on Saturday.

So when I'm done with school everyday, it will be so quiet..until Hans gets home. LOL

It will be nice to have some me time, and go on lunch dates with my hubby,(maybe even a dinner date or 2 if I'm lucky)but I will be ready for the kids to be back before too long!

So I feel kind of lazy...all I've done for the past 4 days is sleep, read, & play Wii.

What a Spring Break! I could blame this on the fact that my kids are at school and have SB next week, or that I needed the rest, but do you ever feel like doing absolutely nothing? Does that make me lazy? I still took my kids to school, I still made dinner etc.. but I do not feel like Iaccomplished anything by the end of the day. It's weird I'm looking forward to getting back to school. I think that may be due to getting closer to the end of the semester, and closer to finding out if I am accepted to the ADN program, and will officially be in nursing school. Well I've missed blogging so I'll be back tomorrow...after I study for my Micro test for Monday!

This is where I wish I were this week: an all inclusive resort swimming pool in Cancu Mexico.

Wii did it!

We finally found and purchased a Wii today.

The friends we stay with when we are in in TX got a Wii for Christmas so we have been wanting one since then but everywhere in town has been out. We went in to Best Buy to return something we bought last night and they had a table set up with about 20 Wii on it...So that is what some of us have spent our afternoon doing. While Dad and Em are actually down at the pool. We played in the snow yeaterday and today they are at the pool....just doesn't seem right does it?

Well here are some pics of Kt and the newest member of our entertainment group.

Hopefully I will loose some weight...my arms are already sore. Well, it will be fun trying...

Snow Day

As we woke up this morning...we had an accumulation of snow. The girls first snow! We new that further north towards Memphis we would be able to play in it & possibly build a snow man...so we got in the car and headed north.....below is the slide show of our snow day including building 2 snowpeople, (a 3rd snowperson was built in Memephis but I took pics on my phone and did not save to this slide show but there was a total of 3 snowpeople today), also numerous snow ball fights. After leaving the dam at Enid Lake we headed north to Memphis since it was only another hour. We ate on the famous Beale Street at BB Kings Blues club with live music and an 86 yr. old guitar player...he was quite talented... Then we left to make our last snowperson on the way to the car and finished the fun off with a last snowball fight that mom lost. Then we headed home. The last pics in the slide show are of when we went back by the snowpeople and what was left...AWWWW!

Funny from today:
Katie said, and I quote... "so dad why do they say not to eat the yellow snow?"
I laughed until I cried, and then had to explain...

Spring has sprung

Spring Break has officially started for me! Yipee!
It is beautiful outside today..high of about 70 degrees with a chance of snow tomorrow night.
Yes I said snow...in Mississippi. 36 or so hours from 70 degree weather. Funny how growing up living in Texas the joke was always "If you don't like the weather wait around a few minutes It will change..."
check this out:

Ok so maybe we won't get this much but you get what I'm saying.....
It has snowed here in Mississippi twice since we have lived here.....both times Hans and I were out of the state. The first time all 4 of us went to TX, and the 2nd time Hans & I went to Florida.
This time we will atleast be in the state of MS....we'll see if it happens and if it does if it will happens in the hours I am awake!
I'll keep you updated...but for now I'm going to go enjoy the beautiful, sunny day the Lord has given me.
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." PS 118:24

Strange Sightings

Ok so today I viewed a few strange things: well strange to me anyway....

~So as I'm driving to the post office there is a SUV in front of me and were just cruising along then these 2 birds start flying across in front of the suv, the second bird ran into the side of the suv. Feathers go flying and the bird lands dead on the other side of the street.
A dive bomber bird commits suicide right in front of me.....haven't ever seen that before.

~While trying to recooperate (sp?) from this tragic incident, Em and & I are out in front of KT's school in line for kid pick up, and along side of us goes this yellow school bus with boys standing up changing clothes....while the bus is going down the road in front of the middle school at pick up time.....hum...haven't ever seen that before.

These may not seem out of the ordinary for any of you but I was caught of guard.

These things got me to thinking of other strange things I've seen recently...

~like for instance beavers

I had never even seen a beaver in real life until about 6 months ago we were driving down the road by Hans' work and there was a beaver dead on the side of the road. The family talked about never seeing a beaver before and we went on with life....then the last time we were in College Station we were over by castlegate subdivision and what do we see....a beaver dead in the middle of the road and neither TX or MS are the beaver state...hahaha.....weird huh?

~So, my next one is....we were in Shreveport on the way home to TX, and we were at Whataburger (of course) and while waiting for our food, we see a Fire truck next door at the gas station, getting gas. I was like "I've never seen a firetruck getting gas before don't they have their own pump at the fire house"....? I thought for some reason they did...the guy used a purple laytex glove to pump the gas so we had the conversation as to why he would need to use the glove and we came up with that if he were to get gas on his hands, and had to go to a fire that could be bad for him....anyway just not something you see everyday I thought. Of course now we see them all the time at the gas station.

~So, next is while we were on vacation in Branson for Christmas 2006 I took the following picture:

I thought it was funny that it says "do not pick wildflowers or vegetation" in front of a bed of dead grass and what use to be vegetation ( I would guess)

~Ok so then Jared sends me this picture of what I found out later to be a water buffalo he shot while hunting..... in College Station...when is the last time you saw a water buffalo in College Station? ( I immediately thought..." everybody's got a water buffalo yours is fast but mine is slow, where do you get one I don't know but everybodys got a water buffaloooooo~Veggietales~ silly songs with Larry) I would post the picture but I deleted it b/c when would I ever want to send someone a picture of a water buffalo~that wasn't mine of course? hahahaha..there I go being funny again...did you catch it...ok moving on.....

~So we went to IHOP in Bryan one time and they were out of bacon, and chocolate milk...on a saturday morning...? Not cool

~So then one time we were at Wendy's on one of our trips to TX, and they were out of Beef patties...no burgers...AT Wendy's....again not cool

~Last but not least today I was angered by a woman in front of me b/c her small children were in the back seat..not in their seat belts! Probably 5 & 6 or 7 years old! Not only were they not in their seat belts but one of them kept eyeballing me and giving me dirtylooks!!! The onther one had her entire head out the back window!!!!! Ok I'm done venting..

So have you seen anything strange lately? Or am I the only one? I am in Mississippi...

We have a new bob in the house...

Em got her hair cut this weekend. Isn't it cute?

Get it "bob" hahahaha..sorry I have to laugh at myself b/c noone else finds me funny.

Yesterday was full of studying for my 2 tests that I took today, and it feels like it paid off. I should know my test grades by Thursday. I made a 94 on my history test I had last Thursday. So far my midterm grades are: 3 A's and a B which should be an A after todays test!

The only other big story yesterday was the bad storms we had.

The tornando siren went off about 8:15 or so last night. There was a funnel cloud about 1/2 mile to our east, but from what I hear there were a lot of funnel clouds but only 1 tornando touched down at the southern border with Louisiana about 4 pm yesterday.

I have never seen a tornando & the thought scares me temendously!

Must go catch up on Big Brother now.....crazy show but I love it! I have finally resigned to the fact that I will not be a cast mate on this show...I'm sure it's for the best!

First Monday of March....

I figured I would start a Monday ritual here on this space of my thoughts.

I am going to post words of the week. Words that I hope through the week to exemplify more, learn more about through studying His word, and and memorizing scripture.

The definition, sometimes synonyms, and atleast 1 verse if not 2 will be posted.

Hopefully through out the week I can write about experiences, and other thoughts of how this word has helped me, how I was able to demonstrate - this week and in the past, etc...

We'll see what it turns into.....

So I added my first word ~ Grace ~

I chose Grace after hearing one of my favorite songs this morning.....

"Grace Flows Down"

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound

Amazing Love, now flowing down

From hands and feet, that were nailed to the tree

As Grace flows down and covers me.

Lord, thank you for your grace that flowed from the cross to cover my sin.

I pray that I can show grace with my family, and those that I come in contact with so that they may see you through me. Amen

Do you know...

that I love the Osmonds?
Tonight I watched their 50th reunion show. I have alot of Osmond songs (especially Donny) on my ipod. So watching this reunion show gets me to thinking....

Did you have the Donnie & Marie barbies...?

Is it weird that I made them act like they were married? They are mormon,

not from Arkansas....LOL (ooh...sorry poor taste huh?)

Or watch the 70's The Donnie & Marie Show? Love those dance moves & hair....Or my favorite the 90's talk show Donnie & Marie? I seriously watched this everyday. When we went to Los Angeles I tried to book show tickets and they had just been cancelled I hear there are rumors of a new talk show...that would be cool! or should I say groooovy?
I also had a Donny Osmond pillow case and an Elvis Presley pillow case that I went back and forth between.

My sisiter (Jenniffer)was in the Donny fan club. I was way too young to be a member...hahaha

but I am a member of his online group, and I get a birthday greeting of Donny wishing me a happy birthday each year. I look forward it each year....

I would love to go to Vegas and see them in July but Hans says "um.....NO!"

So now the challenge goes out to you.......... tell me something I may not know about you!

So I need your opinion....

Can you tell I dyed my hair? It's really dark. About the color of my mother's hair. If I had to give a reference I would say it's close to the color of Cameron Diaz's hair in this picture.

Tell me what you think....

And the award goes to......

Katie Hammond!!!!
Katie won an art award. It is several layers of construction paper and then she cut the image from the layers. Make sense? Anyway it is really cool, and we went to see it hanging in the Mississippi Museum of Art today.
The funny story behind this is that Katie failed art the semester that she created this, but she won a silver key award on a state level...go figure. Her teacher thought he was teaching a college art class. Anyway just thought I would brag.
