Friends...

I have been thinking alot about friends lately.
I know that my friends and I have had conversations in the past about friendship and its different seasons. I just want all of you who read this to know that I love and appreciate each and everyone of you.
You have each brought something special to my life. No matter where our friendship stands right now, I miss all of you, and it truly makes me happy to keep in touch with you through your blogs. This blogspot has turned into friendship notes to you, instead of the personal journal I thought it would be, and I'm so glad for it!
If I have ever done anything to you in the past that disappointed you or hurt you, I am sorry!
I have been a bad friend to some of you at times, and I regret all the time lost.
I am glad that I have so many happy times to look back on with all of you, and I look forward to more of those one day in heaven! Of course hopefully we can get together before that too!
I will leave you with the verses that I have been recieving that have sparked this long, heartfelt post.

John 15:14-15
You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity

(I should have posted the following with yesterdays post about my ACL.)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

3 years ago today...

I tore my ACL jumping on the trampolime at the Hodges. As I sit here indian style (yeah) I remember the day, and can complain about my living situation at the time, (with MIL) building the house and scrubbing the floors getting them ready for stain, or that Daisy just had 9 puppies....BUT I'll just remember that when I truly needed my friends they were there! I'll alsways remember Susan climbing onto the trampoline and letting me lay in her lap and cry like I was her 4 year old daughter...and I'll remember Honey carrying me out of the house and I was worried that my underwear was showing and that he was going to hit my leg on the wall. Then there is the fact that Honey didn't really think I was hurt and kept telling me to stop acting like a baby, he was not taking me to the ER (this is while I am in the truck refusing to get out). Then how about how sick I got from all the pain meds I took on an empty stomach! Then the next day Honey took me to the ER, and cute Doc says "well we don't see any swelling or anything conclusive on the x-ray!" It wasn't until 2 weeks later that the nurse calls after my MRI and says "Yep torn smooth in half!" HAH! Surgery was great again my friends are awesome! Hey G do you remember when you and S came to the hospital...and ya'll had to leave suddenly b/c I didn't want to throw up in front of you...Pleasant thought I know...Anyway... again AWESOME friends!
Then of course B came by and brougt me a sweet bag full of goodies..I think I still have the bag, but not the magazine, or the goodies..LOL

Well thank you to those of you who were there to hold me up on my one good leg when I needed you! Your the best!

I'll leave you with this picture: pretty huh?
Lve ya'll!

Look out Savannah

This is amazing to me! I received an email with the bible gateway webpage and a list of "emergency numbers" (verses for certain needs) when I clicked the link for leaving on a trip

this is what appeared:

Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—

where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,

the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—

the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore.

Then I read my friend Gail's blog regarding a tough day, and the use of this verse.

Across the world God gives us the words we need for every situation.

We are leaving for a weekend trip to Savannah, GA this afternoon. I will write and post pictures hopefully Monday.

I know B just a national traveler aren't I?
But why not visit some places that we would never have the
opportunity to travel to if we were home in TX?
My girls are excitied about going to yet another state they have never been to!
I hope to meet Paula Deen! We will be eating at "The Lady & Son's". I hope sh's there!!

Tax day Tuesday

I found it amusing that this was my verse for today from Daily Bible Verse:

Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Romans 13:7

And this was my verse from yesterday:

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Romans 13:5-6

Mississippi Saturday Night....

You remember the old song Louisiana Saturday Night....Well this is Mississippi Saturday Night...LOL...trying to be funny...did it work?
So last night we happened upon The Jackson Motor Speedway. A dirt race track having their opening night races. We found where alot of MSians like to go on a Saturday night...interesting people watching.... With almost all amatuer racers it was pretty entertaining well for all of us but Em, she was bored...? Any way here are some pics, but they are quite blurry, they were going pretty fast!! It was alot of fun! We are looking forward to going back again soon. Something to do besides walk the mall and go out to eat! We need some friends....
Funny (to me) story...
As we are walking up to the stands KT says..."why did you bring your binoculars dad? It's not like it's a circus and we have to sit up at the top." I said "I don't know...have you ever been to one of these?" LOL...Get it??
Circus -MS dirt track? Well I LOL!
Honey is so cute with his 4-yr-old-like actions! KT really did have a good time!

My funny kids

So the girls & I are riding along in the car after gymnastics today, and KT says" mom I'm on chapter threen"(meaning chpt. 13 of the book she is reading, but you know how words sometimes just don't come out the way they are suppose to)...Em says "oh that would be a pretty name for a girl." KT & I looked at each other like "oh my".

Does this strike anyone else as funny or have we just been in Mississippi too long?

I love cows! Did you know that? I'm sure you will see these cartoons again.

You tube Tuesday 3

Wisdom will enter your heart...

With 2 tests today and 1 tomorrow, this was my verse of the day:

Proverbs 2:10-11
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.

I also find it well suited b/c my A&P test today is on the heart.

Another day in the closet

Here in our area we had really bad weather on Friday.
The electricity went off right after they announced on the tv that there was a confirmed tornando on the ground on the street that Em's school is off of.
So not only am I in the closet (Kt's closet is the most interior, and remember we are on the 2nd floor of the apartments) so I'm in the dark wondering if a tornado comes will this dresser next to me and all the storage boxes in the top of her closet fall on me, and what about the lady who just ran into the closet on the floor above me...and what about my youngest child who is at school, and is this tornado headed across the interstate toward the other childs school...
I had already talked to hubby and (weather came from his direction)asked him if he was on the lowest level in an interior room and he said "no we are standing in the lobby watching it rain." So I said "well I'm in the closet look for me under the dresser, storage boxes and Kt's dirty clothes."
Well after a period of time I came out of the closet, (LOL) and decided to head towards Em's school since there seemed to be a break in the heavy rain.
After retrieving both kids from school we headed home to find the elctricity still off.
Honey came home, and about an hour later the apartment manager lady was outside and said the elctricity would not be back on until late Saturday night.(This is about 6pm Friday evening.) So I said to Hans why don't we go ahead and got to TX? I can be ready in about 15 minutes. I had done laundry all morning and still had clean clothes laid out for everybody. So we loaded-up and hit the road to his Dad's in Lufkin since it would only take us about 5 & 1/2 hours instead of 7 & 1/2 hours to CS.
We just got home about 7:30 tonight(Sun), so tomorrow I will have to go to the store and replace all of the ruined stuff in the fridge.
I have some pics of some damage from the storm that I'll post, maybe tomorrow!
See ya tomorrow!

The baby girl turns 9

My precious baby girl turns 9 today. What a joy! So full of drama, loves to sing, very outgoing, loves everybody, especially your big sister. I'm so proud of you and look forward to watching you grow into the woman God has planned for you.
Weighing in at 8 lbs & 11 ozs and 21 inches long. Thankfully, by scheduled c-section on Good Friday at 8:30am. She wasn't due until April 9th...can you imagine how big she would have been with 7 more days to "incubate"...
Katie was 4, Hans was 24, and I was 26 years old.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer. 29:11
