Here in Mississippi the kids start school this Thursday Aug 7th! Crazy huh?
So I spent the day getting the kids registered for school. KT will be in the 8th grade, and EM will be in the 4th grade. I had to sign a new lease and take the schools copies of that plus 2 electric/water bills, and fill out paperwork. Then I re-enrolled EM in her gymnastics class. The good news is with my nursing school schedule I will not be able to pick her up from school and the gymnastics place has child care too! SO they will pick her up from school on Tuesdays and she will have her class at 3:30 which gives me enough time to pick up KT, and then pick her up when her class is over.
We will be headed to TX this weekend . Em has camp next weekend Fri & Sat 8/8 & 8/9.
KT's BFF is having her bday party so she will be with them all weekend, and I'm going to take my mom to see Mama Mia for her bday!
Then when we get home I will gear up for orientation next Tues- Thurs. and KT will gear up for School on Thurs. EM will miss the first 2 days of school...oh well!
Check back with ya next week!

Movie Monday night
So we took the kids to seeJourney to the center of the earth
and my favorite line was:
"Haven't you seen a dinosaur before? Not with skin on it!"
LOL
Anyway good family adventure.
I think we are going to try and find it at the library and read it out loud on our road trips the next few weekends.

Watch tonight on Discovery Health Ch at 7pm the Mystery Er episode they will air the story of the near fatal incident last Summer with my cousin Ryan Sewell. Thank you to those of you who prayed for our family & Ryan during that time. God is good!

Trouble, Muddin' & Sunnin'
What an adventure! this weekend turned out to be.
So we leave Jackson around 3:30 on Thursday afternoon. West bound and down, loaded up and truckin! Around Vicksburg (30 or so miles from home) Honey's truck starts to act like it is running out of gas. Can't handle the hills and does not want to speed up past about 45 or 50. We proceed into Louisiana & get about 30 miles and decide to drop the trailer w/ Honey's mud truck off at a truck stop, and turn around head back home for my truck. This is about 5:30. Pick up my truck shift all of the luggage, etc..into my truck, and head back out... we have to stop and get gas, and we stop to get more filters for the gas tank leave agian about 7:00..then and as we get to the other side of town, he remembers that he left the hitch on his truck and we have to turn around and head back to his truck..finally leave about 8:00. We pick up the trailer at the truck stop in Louisiana, and hit the road at 9:30. We get about 5 miles down the road, and we lose all our lights except for head lights...no dash light, no trailer lights...we stop at the next truck stop, buy fuses, and hope that it was just bad timing and that we blew a fuse.... (it is 10:oo and I finally get some dinner), and literally we were getting on the on ramp and the fuse blows again no lights! We unplug the trailer lights from the truck so we atleast have dash lights, but we proceed to drive through Shreveport and get to our exit to TX, stop and re-rig all the lights, get on the road and into TX at 2 AM, and about 10 miles into TX fuse blows again. We unplug trailer lights again, and feel it is very late, if we get stopped we will just show the officer all of our receipts and say we are trying we just want to get to Lufkin, and fix it in daylight. Thank goodness we did not get stopped, and made it to Honey's dad's at 4 AM. A trip that would normally take us 5 hours took us 12 & 1/2! I'm so greatful we did not have the girls with us!! We get up at 7 and discover that the problem was a wire in the middle of the trailer kept hitting the trailer and shorting us out. He covers it with electrical tape, we meet our friends and head out to the mud park. He drives up a hill goes through about 6 or so mud holes and then hits this!
so after hauling this truck 12 & 1/2 hours he plays in the mud for 45 minutes, and now we have to replace the motor!!!! He was so dissappointed! We still had a great time!
Saturday we just hung out by the pool at Honey's dad's with 20 of our friends and family!
Sunday after everyone left he re-wired the entire trailer! On the way home Sunday afternoon, we discover that at some point in this weekend my radio went out so our 5 hour trip home was very quiet. We brought EM home with us but she slept most of the way. As we get into MS my truck's rear end starts to go out!!! Now we have 3 vehicles that need work!!! He drove his truck today and we will take it to the shop this afternoon, we think it just needs a new fuel filter, then we will take mine tomorrow, not sure what that will need, and the mud truck will just have to wait to get well!!!
